What does 'grey zone reactive HIV' mean?
Question
I am a 23 years old boy and have taken a second HIV test after 7 months from the date of exposure to the risk. The result was grey zone reactive (>/=1 Reactive). What does grey zone reactive mean? Am I safe from the risk or not? My first HIV test was non-reactive (<0.90 Negative). Please advise.

Your test result is negative which means there was no evidence of HIV infection in your blood when the test was done. The mention of grey zone reactive refers to a level which is not definite negative nor definitely positive. This level does not apply to your report, as your test result is non-reactive or negative.
