What is the probability of HIV infection from woman to a man?
Question
I have read that the infection probability from an HIV positive woman to a man is less than 1:200 even during unprotected sex. Is this correct, what source of date do we have in order to support this? What is the ratio incase of man to woman?

One does not acquire infection by statistics - the rate of transmission of infection from a HIV + woman to man is dependent on so many factors and it is anything from 0.1% to 1% that is 1:1000 to 1:100. But remember you could be the that one. The rate of transmission from HIV+ man to woman is higher than vice-versa.
