Is the eye colour indicative of any health problem?
Question
My child is a month old and seems to have grey-blue eyes. Both my husband's and my eyes are brown in colour and no one in the family has grey-blue eyes. Does this indicate any problem with my child's eye?

Newborn babies often have not developed enough pigment in the intra ocular structures at birth. Hence, the baby's eyes may be grey-blue at birth. The pigment will develop over 2-4 months. If his eyes continue to be grey after this period, a review by an ophthalmologist is advisable.
