Anushka Sharma is all set to co-star with Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Harry Met Sejal. SRK is Anushka's debut film
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-star. After this film, the duo co-starred with each other in 2012's
Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Jab Harry Met Sejal marks Anushka's third collaboration with SRK. However, Anushka, 29, says that she agreed to do
Jab Harry Met Sejal because of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who is her film's director, reports news agency IANS. "The first film he (Ali) offered to me, I instantly said yes to it, which is
Jab Harry Met Sejal. In fact, I have been wanting to work with Imtiaz for the longest time," Anushka said in a statement, reports IANS.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is a love story between a
Punjabi tourist guide (SRK) and a Gujarati lawyer (Anushka). The film is shot in Europe and Punjab. Of
Jab Harry Met Sejal, Anushka told IANS, "This is something I always wanted to do with Imtiaz and this just seemed like a film which I would really enjoy having a great time, so this is the one film."
Jab Harry Met Sejal is scheduled to release on August 4.
Imtiaz Ali debuted as a director with 2005's
Socha Tha Na. However, the film didn't do well at the box office. His 2007 film
Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, was his first hit project. Mr Ali is also known for films such as
Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar and
Tamasha.
Interestingly, after
Jab Harry Met Sejal, Anushka and SRK will collaborate for the fourth time in Aanand L Rai's untitled film, also starring Katrina Kaif, their
Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-star.
