'Welcome Home,' Pamela Anderson. The Baywatch Film is Now Even Better

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra in a major role, The Rock as the new Mitch and a cameo by David Hasselhoff - could the Baywatch film get any more exciting? Yes, it appears it could and has - original cast member Pamela Anderson has signed on to appear in the big screen update of the iconic '90s TV show.

Dwayne Johnson, known to fans as The Rock, gave Pamela Anderson an Insta-welcome:
 

 

She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time. Ms Anderson, now 48, played CJ Parker from 1992 to 1997. Her position has been filled by actress Kelly Rohrbach in the work-in-progress film so Ms Anderson will presumably have a special role, like The Hoff.

Priyanka Chopra, who plays antagonist Victoria Leeds in the film, will not be wearing the iconic red swimsuit. Asked, Priyanka told NDTV: "I'm not a lifeguard, I'm the interruption in their slow motion."

Directed by Seth Gordon, Baywatch is currently filming and hits screens on May 19, 2017. Here's the first official look of the film:
