New Delhi:

If you are ever looking to find some wisdom on the Internet, we recommend that you look up Twinkle Khanna's Instagram profile. The former actress and author, no doubt, has a way with words and is often seen sharing some important life lessons in her trademark witty and charming style. But this time around, we saw an unadulterated and empathetic side of the 47-year-old as she penned a note on the importance of understanding how to "let go" of things in life. Confessing that it did not come naturally to her, she said that the past few months have taught her an important lesson about the art of letting go.

In a moving note that she shared on Monday, she wrote, "Some people have to learn to hold on, while others must examine ways to let go. I belong to the latter category, hiding behind regimentation. These last few months, I have learnt an important lesson, I don't have to fix everything. Good enough is sometimes all it needs to be." The note was accompanied by a short video of some flowers, held within a book, slowly being released, almost as a metaphor for what Twinkle was touching upon, in her post.

The wise message resonated with fans of the author. Actress Katrina Kaif, who has worked alongside Twinkle Khanna's husband, actor Akshay Kumar, was one of the first to respond to the post with a heart emoji. Many fans and followers of Twinkle appreciated the post by dropping hearts in the comment section.

Twinkle Khanna's social media handle is a treasure trove of funny videos and warm anecdotes. She often also gives her fans a peek into the intimate parts of her life. For instance, a while ago, the former actress gave us a glimpse of what her grandmother's sewing trunk looks like. Sharing an image of the vintage pink box filled with yarns and needles, Twinkle penned a heartwarming note about what the box meant to her.

"My Nani's sewing kit-An inheritance that goes beyond tiered boxes and yarn. If she could see this I am sure she would wrinkle her nose and say, ‘Tina, give it to me, I have to redo your chain stitch'," she wrote. The photo also shows a white shirt that Twinkle is decorating with a blue, floral embroidered design.

In another vintage photo that she shared on Instagram, a teenage Twinkle is seen with her mother, actress Dimple Kapadia, and sister Rinke Khanna. The three are seen laughing in the image. Along with the photo, she wrote, "A penchant for cracking up prevents you from breaking down," adding in the hashtags that it was "family motto". Another life lesson right there to emulate, isn't it?

Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of veteran actors Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna. She made her debut in the superhit 1995 movie, Barsaat, opposite Bobby Deol. After her wedding to Akshay Kumar, she quit acting to take up interior designing. In 2015, she turned author with the best-selling book, Mrs Funnybones. She has also authored books such as Pyjamas are Forgiving, and TheLegend of Lakshmi Prasad.
