New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar revealed the first posters of actors Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna's forthcoming film Ittefaq on social media today. Their characters were introduced with three separate posters and captions. "He was accused of a crime he did not commit! Wait for his version....his story..." read the caption for Sidharth's poster while Sonakshi was introduced as, "She is accused of killing her husband...but did she? Wait for her version...her story." Akshaye Khanna, who plays a cop in Ittefaq, sports a serious look and the caption for his poster says, "He trusts no one and suspects everyone! He only wants the TRUTH!"

Here are the three posters. (Intriguing much?)

Ittefaq is the remake of 1969 film of the same name, featuring Rajesh Khanna, Nanda and Madan Puri in prominent roles. Sidharth and Sonakshi's film went on floors earlier this year. The murder mystery is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and B R Films and is directed by B R Chopra's grandson Abhay.

Of the film, Sonakshi told news agency IANS, "I have not seen the old Ittefaq so for me, I am doing a new film. And I am sure a lot of people from our generation have not seen the original Ittefaq either. The way film is rewritten and adapted to fit in today's scenario and time, makes it a fresh film. I am looking at it as a new film." Sonakshi and Sidharth have collaborated for the first time.

Ittefaq is scheduled to release on November 3.
