Sonakshi's ban on bikini and steamy scenes

Sonakshi's ban on bikini and steamy scenes

Highlights

  • Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has laid down some rules for herself and is clear about what she will never do in movies.
  • The Dabangg star has maintained that she will not do any intimate scenes and also won't sport a bikini on screen ever. Yet she has been getting plump Bollywood offers.
  • "I am not open to wear a bikini. I don't see any reason to change it because if audience has accepted me fully clothed then why will I resort to it. It ( kissing and getting intimate) is a complete no.. I am not that kind of a person. I have been brought up in certain way, I have certain restrictions that I follow," Sonakshi said.
  • The 24-year-old says she lacks the guts which Vidya Balan exhibited in The Dirty Picture while essaying the role of Silk Smitha.
  • When asked if she would ever do a film like that she said, "It was a great film it was a good film to watch. The performance that Vidya Balan gave was superb. I respect her so much as an actress. But it really takes guts to do something like that. I don't think I would be able to pull it off with the restrictions that I have."
  • In her debut film opposite Salman, she played a village belle wearing Indian clothes and even in her soon-to-be-released Rowdy Rathore, Sonakshi essays the role of a girl named Paro from Patna, who comes to Mumbai.
  • "So what if I am an Indian girl, when other girls wear western clothes, nobody asks themthey are not type casted. I like these characters (Indian) they are very different characters from each other in spite of being in the same Indian space. I get enough chance to wear western outfits in advertisements, shows, events," she said.
  • "When people come to me with roles, I don't look at it like Indian or western girl...I won't chose roles like that. I choose roles that I believe in like whether I fit the character, if audience would love to see me in it, overall big picture, whether I want to be part of the film or not. So this has been my way of choosing roles. It is my second year in the industry, I will explore other things. For now, I am happy doing this," she added.
