Happy birthday, Sonakshi Sinha. As the actress celebrates her 36th birthday today (June 2), wishes are flowing in from all quarters. However, the most special birthday message came from the star's father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha. On the occasion, he not only wrote a lovely message for his daughter but also posted a bunch of images that are a beautiful mixture of throwback photos, family pictures as well as more recent images of the actress. In his note, he said, “How beautiful times have gone by. On this great and auspicious day loads of love for the apple of our eye, for another wonderful year of fun, entertainment & great achievements.”
Praising Sonakshi Sinha's performance in the recently released web series Dahaad, he continued: “We are all so very proud of your strength & everything you have accomplished, especially the milestone you have created with 'Dahaad' which is the talk of the town today and one of the most wonderful films which adds another feather to your body of work, recently released on amazing Amazon Prime Video.”
The doting father added, “You shall always remain very special to us. May your special day bring abundance of happiness, joy & lots of love today and every day. 'Happy great day!' God Bless.”
About her birthday plans, Sonakshi Sinha told ANI, “For the last 5-6 years I have been travelling on my birthday… I like to take a break and like to spend time with a few close friends of mine. I have been following this ritual for the past several years. I am currently in the middle of a shoot…so this birthday I can go only close by. I might go to Alibaug or Lonavala. However, I have not decided yet.”
Meanwhile, speaking of Dahaad, Sonakshi Sinha has been receiving praise for her role as a police officer in the crime thriller. In NDTV's review of Dahaad, Saibal Chatterjee wrote about the performances in the series: “The performances are marked by restraint and impressive acuity, with Sonakshi Sinha shining in a role that gives her room to convey a gamut of emotions. Vijay Verma stands out as the seemingly meek Hindi professor. Gulshan Devaiah is terrific as the incorruptible police officer. Sohum Shah delivers a flawless performance as the conflicted cop.”
