Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 48 today, expressed his gratitude for the love bestowed on him by his fans. The superstar took to Twitter to thank his fans for gathering outside his house on Friday night with crackers and his posters.
The actor stays with his family in his bungalow Mannat in suburban Bandra here.
"Thank you everyone, all who came outside the house with crackers and posters. Love to you all and apologies to the neighbours. Your love makes me happy," Shah Rukh posted on the micro-blogging website.
Touted as the king of romance, the actor has enjoyed much adulation for his films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
He proved his versatility by featuring in action films like Don 2 and issue-based films like My Name Is Khan, Chak De! India and Swades.
The actor also thanked viewers for making him the subject of their admiration.
"'The mark of one born with noble qualities is being born without envy'- Francois. Now because of your love, I envy no one. Thanks all for ennobling me," he added on Saturday.
The actor was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express and is now busy with Farah Khan's Happy New Year.
