Bollywood playback singer Shaan will perform with renowned sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee at a concert Shaan-e-Shaam later this week in their first musical fusion.
"For 20 minutes we will be presenting on stage the tracks from our first collaborative album, which will be brought out by the end of this year. The album will bring together classical strands which will be released in October this year.
"There could be impromptu jamming during the show as it happens in a live show depending on the situation," Purbayan said.
Shaan, 39, one of the most popular singers of the country today, would also be belting out his own popular and favourite numbers along with a tribute to late Dev Anand and Shammi Kapoor.
"It is perhaps the aesthetic connect between us that might have brought us together. So far my performance is concerned it would have raga elements, retaining the understated classical flavour for my own brand of audience," Purbayan, who gave his first sensational performance at the age of just five years, said.
