#MustWatchMSG Say Ram Rahim's Fans on Twitter

New Delhi: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's MSG: The Messenger has been in theatres for a weekend now, and it's still trending on Twitter.

"It should be out of here in a jiffy because it is unlikely that regular movie fans will be able to digest this all-out assault on the senses," wrote our film critic Saibal Chatterjee in his review of the film, which he gave zero stars. (MSG: The Messenger Movie Review)

MSG might, just might, be on our screens a tad longer than a jiffy because Ram Rahim's many, many fans have been unflagging and relentless in urging that movie tickets be bought. On Twitter, the hashtag #MustWatchMSG has been perpetuated by the faithful, all of who seem to have watched Ram Rahim's single-handed ridding of the world of its evils. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who leads the Dera Sacha Sauda sect, both stars in MSG and also serves as writer, director and producer. The film prompted a regime change in the Censor Board with chief Leela Samson and nine Board members resigning amid allegations of political interference in the clearing of the film. MSG released amid protests and high security in Haryana and Chandigarh. It was banned in Punjab and Uttarakhand, and screenings were halted in two Haryana towns.
