Her representative told the publication, "During Tuesday night's production, Megan started feeling very unwell and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available."
Back in February, it was announced that the Grammy winner would make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical as nightclub impresario Harold Zidler, a role originally played by Tony winner Danny Burstein. The eight-week engagement at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre began on March 24 and was scheduled to conclude on May 17.
It remains unclear how the production will proceed in Megan Thee Stallion's absence.

According to Variety, after a seven-year run on Broadway, Moulin Rouge! The Musical will close on July 26. By then, it will have staged 2,265 regular performances and 24 previews, making it the 36th longest-running show in Broadway history.
Producers have not provided a specific reason for the closure. While the show has remained popular throughout its run, it carries high production costs due to music rights and its elaborate set design.
