Filmmaker Karan Johar has shared a wonderful picture from his photo archives which features younger him with his late father Yash Johar, who was one of the most prominent film producers in Bollywood. Today marks Yash Johar's 13th birth anniversary and Karan Johar has written a heartwarming note along with the picture which reads, "He gives me strength....he completes me in every way....my guiding light...my God for life.." In the picture posted by the 45-year-old filmmaker is seen embracing his father and smiling for the camera. Mr Johar is dressed in a blue suit while KJo is seen wearing a denim jacket.

Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan also shared a picture on her Instagram account on producer Yash Johar's birth anniversary. The picture shared features Yash Johar and Farah's mother Menaka Irani and the duo are seen happily posing for the camera. Farah Khan captioned the image as, "Yash uncle with my mom at the housewarming of the 1st house Sajid n I bought.. @karanjohar he was part of all our
khushis and
ghams.."
Karan Johar follows his dear friend and colleague
Farah Khan closely on social media. He has not only liked the picture shared by her but also left a comment that read, "He loved you Faru!!!"
Yash Johar has produced successful films like
Dostana (1980),
Agneepath (1990),
Duplicate (1998),
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998),
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and
Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). He died in 2004 after battling cancer.
Karan Johar, who became a parent to twins via surrogacy in February, has named his son after his late father Yash Johar and Roohi is a rearrangement of his mother's name Hiroo.
