New Delhi: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her outspoken and honest views, feels that the modern woman is smart, confident and has a "strong sense of identity."

"The modern woman is smart, confident and independent. She has her own opinions and a strong sense of identity. Today's women know how to express themselves and carry their attitude with unmatched style," Kangana told reporters here.

"Women are no longer allowing anything to define them apart from their own self-expression," said Kangana.

About her personal style, Kangana said: "Style is a way of expressing oneself and my style should tell the world who I am. I just need to be comfortable and confident in what I wear and that's half the battle won."

Kangana also feels that change is a constant in fashion.

"There are no hard and fast rules. My sensibility is all about boho chic," Kangana said, adding that modern Indian women are "way more fashion forward and confident in the way they dress."

"They're experimenting. They're moving forward with styles are looking fresher. Edgier styles, but most of all, they're reinventing style with confidence," she said.

Kangana, meanwhile, is filming Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon, co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. (Also Read: There's No Kangana Ranaut in Homi Adajania's Next. Here's Why)
