"Thank you, Academy members! Mom and dad, yeah, look!Whoo," the actor had said after winning for his role as awashed up country singer in 'Crazy Hearty'.
With Bridges, who is open about being a cannabis user,likely to earn another acting nomination for his work in 'TrueGrit', he was quizzed about his eyebrow raising speech on aMTV interview.
After throwing his head back and laughing for a good10 seconds, Bridges responded, "That's a funny question, and Ilike your reading, too."
"No man. No, I wasn't high. Oh God. No, no," heanswered.
Bridges plays a one-eyed former soldier who is hiredby a teenage girl as a bounty hunter in the remake of theWestern classic 'True Grit'.
