Irrfan Khan Makes A Filmy Debut On Instagram

New Delhi: Actor Irrfan Khan has finally made his debut on Instagram. The 50-year-old actor shared a series of throwback pictures in which he can be seen recreating a few iconic scenes from Bollywood films. In the first picture shared by the The Lunchbox actor, he is seen recreating a famous pose from the 1975 hit-film Sholay, where Dharmedra aka Veeru sits on Amitabh Bachchan aka Jai's shoulders and plays the harmonica. "This is our poster inspired by the #Sholay poster. #FilmyInfluence," he wrote. Irrfan Khan has over 5,000 followers on Instagram already. In another picture, Irrfan Khan can be seen riding a horse, his look 'inspired by Rajesh Khanna.' In his post the Piku actor mentioned that he was asked to learn horse riding in order to be an actor.
 

 

Somebody told me that to be an actor you must know horse riding ... so whenever I went to ride (or learn to ride - which I didn't at that time), I made it a point that when I sat on the horse ... my look would be inspired by Rajesh Khannaji .... ;) Hero toh banna hi tha! #FilmyInfluence

Irrfan Khan has featured in over 50 Indian films and has also appeared in international movies like Life Of Pi, New York, I Love You, The Amazing Spider-Man, Jurassic World and Inferno.

In 2012, Irrfan Khan received the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Paan Singh Tomar.

Irrfan Khan last featured in Hindi Medium, which released in theatres on May 19 along with Half Girlfriend, starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The film has managed to collect Rs 37.35 crores at the box office so far. Irrfan Khan's upcoming projects are- Firangi and Doob: No Bed Of Roses.
