Yami Gautam was at the “heart of the heart” in Agra. Yes, we are talking about the monument of love, Taj Mahal. Well, she wasn't alone. Yami Gautam was joined by her Dasvico-star Nimrat Kaur and other crew members. The pictures are bound to brighten your screen. In the opening slide, we see a beautiful Yami Gautam smiling at the lens with the majestic monument in the background. Do we need to say more? The next pic in the line also features Nimrat Kaur. For the caption bit, Yami Gautam wrote, “Simply [heart]. The film was shot in Agra and hence the city tour had to start right from the heart of the heart.” Dasvi, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, was shot in Agra Central Jail. The film will be released on April 7.
The first screening of Dasvi was held inside the Central Jail in Agra. It was a promise made by Abhishek Bachchan, a year ago, when the shooting was completed. The actor, in a video, which was shot back then, said, “Jaise yeh film taiyaar ho jaye, main chahunga ki jab pehli baar yeh baray parde par dikhe toh hum Agra main akaar. Aap sab k beech main baith kar yeh picture dekhay. [I wish to watch the film, once ready, for the first time with all of you here].” The video also takes us through the screening set-up and how the jail guards and inmates have responded to the film. Along with the video, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “A promise is a promise. Last night, I managed to fulfil a commitment I made a year ago. The first screening of our film Dasvi was held for the guards and inmates of Agra Central Jail. We shot the film here. Their reactions are memories I will remember and cherish for a lifetime.”
Dasvi will see Abhishek Bachchan as Chief Minister Ganga Ram Chaudhary. The storyline focuses on Abhishek's character after he ends up in prison. Yami Gautam will play the role of a tough cop in the upcoming Tushar Jalota directorial. Nimrat Kaur will be seen as Abhishek's wife.
