I Am Kalam is a story of a poor boy, who is inspired by former President A P J Abdul Kalam so much that he starts referring to himself by the name of the former President.
Gulshan, one of the lead actors of the film, has travelled to Los Angeles for screening of the movie. The film features Delhi slum boy Harsh Mayar, Hussan Saad, Gulshan and Beatrice Ordeix.
"I have been exposed to the highest form of artistic and entertaining world cinema. But I have never witnessed this kind of response that
I Am Kalam has generated. I strongly believe that it is an extraordinary film," Grover said.
"After we got a heartening response at several international film festivals, I started emailing the stills, trailers and synopsis to my friends and colleagues in Hollywood seeking support for this cause oriented film," he said.

The one-and-a-half-hour film, produced by Smile Foundation, an NGO, aims at motivating the poor to educate their children. It is the first feature film ever, in the world, to be produced by an NGO.
I Am Kalam has so won 12 national and international awards including the 58th National Award for the hero of the film, twelve-year-old Harsh Mayar. The worldwide theatrical release of the film is scheduled in June-end.
