The teaser of the thriller Freddy was shared on Monday afternoon and it surely is engaging. The teaser showcases the story of a dentist named Dr Freddy Ginwala, whose life is a mystery. In the teaser, Kartik Aaryan's character is described as "a shy, lonely, honest, naive, innocent, nervous, truthful, repulsive, conscious and inciteful dentist." In a couple of shots, Kartik is seen treating the patients. In another shot, he is seen dancing around and also sitting with a turtle by his side. The teaser also has a silhouette shot of a dead body being dragged around (presumably by Dr Freddy). The teaser ends with Dr Freddy intensely staring at a patient and telling him: "Sorry Sir, kept you waiting."

Other than Kartik Aaryan, Freddy also stars Alaya F. The film has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh and it has been co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani. The film is set to premiere on streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar on December 2.
