Fees dispute between actress Pooja Gandhi, producer resolved

  • A local court disposed off an arbitration case filed by Kannada film actress Pooja Gandhi against producer-director of the film Nee Illade for non- payment of her dues for the film which is slated for release on 25th March in the wake of a compromise between them.
  • City Civil Court judge Majjige Nijaganavar disposed off the case following a compromise petition filed by Pooja.
  • According to the terms of the compromise petition, distribution rights of the said film in Dakshina Kannada and Hyderabad-Karnataka region, upto a collection of Rs 4 lakh, should be given to Pooja.
  • "Over and above, if the any excess amount is there, it has been voluntarily agreed by the petitioner that it should go into the account of the producer, Shiva Ganapathy", Pooja's counsel Murali Krishna told PTI.
  • Later talking to reporters outside the court, Pooja said, "Being an artiste, I would not like to stop the release of any film whether I act in it or not. I have agreed for the compromise to see that Shiva Ganapathy's career is not jeopardised".
Bangalore: A local court disposed off anarbitration case filed by Kannada film actress Pooja Gandhiagainst producer-director of the film Nee Illade for non-payment of her dues for the film which is slated for release on 25th March in the wake of a compromise between them.

City Civil Court judge Majjige Nijaganavar disposed off thecase following a compromise petition filed by Pooja.

According to the terms of the compromise petition,distribution rights of the said film in Dakshina Kannada andHyderabad-Karnataka region, upto a collection of Rs 4 lakh,should be given to Pooja.

"Over and above, if the any excess amount is there, it hasbeen voluntarily agreed by the petitioner that it should gointo the account of the producer, Shiva Ganapathy", Pooja'scounsel Murali Krishna told PTI.

Later talking to reporters outside the court, Pooja said,"Being an artiste, I would not like to stop the release of anyfilm whether I act in it or not. I have agreed for thecompromise to see that Shiva Ganapathy's career is notjeopardised".

Pooja had earlier charged Shiva Ganapathy of paying "onlyRs 4 lakh as advance" out of the total amount of Rs 12 lakhthat was due to her.
