iPhone’s Lock Screen Will Display Animated Artwork from Third-Party Music Apps With iOS 26: Report
With iOS 26, Apple has introduced a new API which lets third-party music apps display animated artwork on the iPhone's lock screen. The apps can display a preview file as a placeholder whilst the video file loads, and display it afterwards. The feature is present in the developer SDK following the release of iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 update.
