Deepika Padukone was honoured at the Time100 Impact Awards for her contribution to cinema and spreading awareness about mental health. Deepika was joined by her husband, actor Ranveer Singh for the event, which took place on March 28 in Dubai. Deepika has also shared a note on Instagram along with a set of two screengrabs of the Time website. Expressing her “gratitude”, she wrote, “Pretty decent start to a Monday morning I would think…” Deepika has also attached a white heart to her post. Actor Dino Morea was among the first to react. He replied by sharing raising hands emoji.

Deepika Padukone, during a conversation with The Time100 Impact Awards, said that she wants to “live a life as honestly and authentically as possible.”

On coming out in the open and speaking about her mental health, Deepika said, “I had such a deep experience with mental illness. Not talking about it felt dishonest”.
