Darlings Star Vijay Varma Responds To News Report: Earned A Lot After Gully Boy

Vijay Varma, who recently starred in Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan-produced Darlings, recently reacted to a tweet shared by a news portal that read: "Vijay Vama reveals that the success of Alia Bhatt's Darlings has assured his parents that his acting career won't leave him hungry." The actor, reacting to the tweet, wrote: "Ye toh maine Gully Boy ke liye bola tha.. uske baad bahot paisa kamaya hai bhai (This is what I said post Gully Boy, after that I earned a lot of money." The actor, in a separate tweet clarified that he was only kidding and that his tweet was all in good humour. Read Vijay Varma's tweet here.

Vijay Varma also shared some behind-the-scene moments from the sets of Darlings. The album featured pictures of Vijay with film's producers Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, co-star Shefali Shah and others. He captioned the post: "Darlings is made with a lot of love and efforts of some of the most incredible creative minds and stalwarts. I was surrounded by people I learn from and aspire from. The best team one can ask for. Here's the proof."

The actor also shared this set of BTS pictures from Darlings sets and he wrote: "Hamza is sick of reading all the online hate he's getting. Darlings BTS."

Darlings, starring Vijay Varma, Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew, was backed by SRK and Alia collaboratively. The film opened to largely positive reviews from fans and film critics. The film is streaming in OTT giant Netflix.

Vijay Varma is best known for starring in films such as Pink, Gully Boy, Manto, Ghost Stories, Super 30 and Baaghi 3. Apart from his film roles, Vijay Varma also starred in a few web shows - the list includes A Suitable Boy, She and Mirzapur and OK Computer.

The actor will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's The Devotion Of Suspect X alongside Kareena Kapoor and Jaideep Ahlawat.
