New Delhi: The first look of Chris Brown's documentary, titled Welcome to My Life: The Official Chris Brown Documentary, is a quick recap of the highs and the lows of his life. Much of it deals with the aftermath of his assault on his former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Mr Brown, who was sentenced to five years of probation after assaulting Rihanna at a pre-Grammys party, speaks about 'messing up' his relationship with then 21-year-old singer. His probation ended in 2015.

In the first look, which also features appearances by Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Mike Tyson, Jamie Foxx and Rita Ora, Chris Brown addresses going from 'America's sweetheart to being Public Enemy No 1.'

"I felt like a monster. I was thinking about suicide, I wasn't sleeping, I barely ate," he says.

His mother Joyce Hawkins describes the assault as the 'worst day of her life.' She says, "I felt like I was going to lose my child."

The trailer ends on a positive note with Mr Brown saying, "If there was ever a doubt in your mind Chris Brown was done, he was finished. I wouldn't bet on it."



Chris Brown and Rihanna began dating in 2008. They briefly reconciled but eventually parted ways for good in 2012.
