It's almost time for the Cannes red carpet to welcome actress Sonam Kapoor for the fifth year. Sonam, who will replace Katrina Kaif as the Indian face of L'Oreal, left for the south of France on Thursday.
Sonam wore black jeans, a white shirt and a beige houndstooth checked jacket.
Sonam was accompanied by her sister Rhea who helps style her.
Sonam was tweeting right up till her flight took off:
Sonam, who has previously taken the Croisette by storm in outfits by Anamika Khanna and Elie Saab, will walk the red carpet on May 16 and 18.
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expected on May 17 and 20. She will also chair the amfAR gala on May 21 and showcase her comeback film Jazbaa. Her director Sanjay Gupta has left for Cannes already.
Katrina Kaif was the advance party for L'Oreal's Bollywood contingent, walking the red carpet in Oscar de la Renta at the opening ceremony and Elie Saab at the screening of Mad Max: Fury Road on the second day. This was Katrina's first year at Cannes.
