Cannes 2016: Sonam Kapoor's amfAR Gala Dress is Ralph & Russo

New Delhi: Actress Sonam Kapoor, who attended the Cannes Film Festival for the sixth time this year, made her debut at the amfAR Gala on Thursday wearing a gold embroidered gown by Ralph & Russo. She accessorized with jhumkas by Kalyan Jewellers and minimal make up.
 Actress Mallika Shewrawat, whose film Time Raiders was screened at the film festival, arrived dressed in a cut out pale purple ensemble.

Sonam walked the Croisette on May 15 and May 16. For her first appearance, Sonam picked a white gown paired with an embroidered cape designed by Ralph & Russo. On her second day at the red carpet she stunned the fashion police in another white trailing ensemble, this time again by Ralph & Russo. She finished her look with a neat hairdo and Bvlgari choker.
 Sonam also looked stunning in a black strapless Ralph & Russo creation as she attended the Chopard party on May 16.

 During her stay at the French Riviera, Sonam's sartorial choices also included creations by Rimzim Dadu and Anamika Khanna apart from Ralph & Russo.

 On May 14, a day before her first appearance on the Croisette, she arrived at the Nice airport wearing an ivory outfit also by Anamika Khanna.

 This is the 23rd edition of the charity event, which aims to create awareness about AIDS. The actress filled the spot left vacant by actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who gave it a miss due to work commitments. Aishwarya's Sarbjit, which was screened at Cannes, releases in India on May 20. Aishwarya, who visited Cannes with her daughter Aaradhya and mother Vrinda Rai, walked the red carpet on May 13 and May 14.

Sonam was last seen in Neerja and has the movie Battle For Bittora in the pipeline.
