As the Bigg Boss 16 competition nears its conclusion, the latest episode featured a Ticket to Finale task in which the remaining contestants fought to secure their spot in the final round and a chance at the trophy. The episode also included a nomination task, in which the contestants nominated their rivals. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia had the opportunity to regain her position as captain, but faced a challenge as Bigg Boss warned her that she would be removed from the role if any of the contestants broke the rules during the task. A promo video featuring Nimrit being announced as the captain this week has been shared online.
In it, Bigg Boss can be heard saying: “Mai Nimrit ko ek baar fir captain bana raha hu, captaincy ke saath attached hai ticket to finale week (I am Nimrit as the captain of the Bigg Boss house and ticket to finale is attached to the captaincy).” While the news came as a shock to the housemates, Bigg Boss added: “Bas sirf uske liye, usko Nimrit ki captaincy ko cheen na hoga (For that, you have to snatch away Nimrit's captaincy).”
In the upcoming episode of Bigg Boss 16, tensions rise as Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta engage in a heated argument over whether Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia should continue as captain. Shalin Bhanot is seen backing Nimrit's captaincy. This angers Priyanka Chahar Choudhary as Shalin had earlier said that he wanted to snatch Nimrit's captaincy.
Priyanka says, “You were plotting against her captaincy and now you want her to stay as a captain?” Joining the argument, Tina calls Shalin "dogla (fake)." Shalin retaliates by accusing Tina of also plotting against Nimrit and making accusations about her character. Shalin says that when Tina is done with one guy (Shalin), she moves on to another (pointing at Shiv Thakare and MC Stan).”
A furious Tina replies: “Zabaan sambhalke baat kar. I will slap you. Khud ki biwi ki dignity nahi rakha Shalin Bhanot, you are pointing fingers at my character? (Watch your tongue. You couldn't protect the dignity of your ex-wife, and you are pointing fingers at my character?).”
This week, Tina Datta, Shalin Bhanot, Soundarya Sharma and Sumbul Touqeer Khan have been nominated for elimination.
