Bhumi Pednekar told news agency IANS that she is a 'compulsive shopaholic.' The Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actress also said that fashion is integral to her and that her definition of fashion imbibes elements of comfort and confidence. "Fashion is important in every girl's life. Fashion is nothing but wearing what is comfortable and also sporting clothes that make you feel confident. It's extremely important to me. I am a compulsive shopaholic," Bhumi Padnekar told IANS. Bhumi Padnekar debuted in Bollywood in 2010's Dum Laga Ke Haisha and this year she starred in two critically acclaimed films - Toilet: Ek Prem Katha with Akshay Kumar and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan with Ayushmann Khurrana.

In all her films, Bhumi played an extremely confident character from a small town, which she earlier told IANS led people to believe that she is not inclined towards fashion. "The kind of films I do, people assume that I am not a fashionable person but I am an urban girl and I have always been fashionable," she had said. Bhumi Pednekar, like several other actresses, has walked the ramp at fashion and jewelry shows.
