New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne were all charged up about the Filmfare Awards on Saturday, expecting to take home a trophy for Best Actor for Guzaarish. Sadly, it was not to be.

Clearly feeling it was not worth their while to stay for the entire show, The Roshans left early. Hrithik held his peace but Sussanne took to Twitter to vent her disappointment

She tweeted, "Just came back from Filmfare. Sometimes in life we get what we don't deserve ¦ makes it diff to understand what's the logic in all this."

A source confirms, "The Roshans walked out of the awards way before it ended. Rishi Kapoor received the Best Actor (Critics' Choice) for Do Dooni Char while Shah Rukh won it in the Popular category.

Hrithik found out early on that he wasn't winning anything that night and decided to walk out."

A source close to Roshan claims, "He turned up to show his support and solidarity with the editor of the magazine. Hrithik hasn't been keeping well for some time yet he decided to turn up to grace the occasion. He was at the event for almost an hour."

This is not the first time an actor thought he deserved to win and was less than sporting when he didn't. In 1996, Aamir and SRK faced off for Rangeela and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange respectively. SRK won, but Aamir thought otherwise and so began his long career in boycotting award shows.

Shah Rukh seems to be the common denominator. Next up - will Hrithik boycott the Filmfares?
