Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing Meghna Gulzar's film, shared a picture of the film's clapboard on Tuesday. "The journey of #RAAZI begins today!!! All the best to all of us!!" KJo tweeted. In Raazi, Alia Bhatt features as a Kashmiri girl, who is married to a Pakistani army officer, played by Vicky Kaushal. The espionage thriller is based on Harinder Sikka's novel Calling Sehmat and will be shot in Punjab, Kashmir and Mumbai. This is Alia Bhatt's first film with Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal. Here's what Karan Johar tweeted about Raazi.

Alia Bhatt had confirmed being a part of Raazi last month. "This one is going to be truly truly special," she wrote on Twitter.

Of the film, Vicky Kaushal earlier told news agency IANS, "I'm honoured to be getting an opportunity to work with Meghna Gulzar and also looking forward to working with Alia, who I feel is one of the finest actresses we have at the moment. Actually, the entire team is so talented and especially to be working with Dharma Productions is rewarding for any young actor."

Meghna Gulzar, daughter of acclaimed-lyricist Gulzar and actress Raakhee, is best-known for directing films such as Filhaal... and Talvar. Raazi's release date hasn't been finalised as of yet.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in this year's Badrinath Ki Dulhania, also has Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh and Dragon, opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the pipeline. Vicky Kaushal will be next seen in Sanjay Dutt biopic, starring Ranbir. The film is expected to hit the screens next year.
