Superstar Ajith Kumar's father P Subramaniam died on Friday morning in Chennai. He was 85. The last rites, which was a strictly family affair, was performed in Chennai. In light of the tragedy, condolence messages are flowing in from all quarters for Ajith Kumar and his family. Among the plethora of messages is a note from legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan. The actor offered his tribute on social media. In the tweet, shared originally in Tamil, Kamal Haasan said, “ I am saddened to hear the news of my brother Ajith Kumar's father Mr. Subramaniam's death. My condolences to Ajith Kumar and his family on the loss of their father.”
Superstar Vijay was seen visiting Ajith at his residence to pay his respects. Videos of the actor visiting Ajith's house have been widely shared on social media.

Ajith Kumar is married to former actress Shalini. The couple has two children together. The actor is best known for his work in films such as Kadhal Kottai, Vaali, Mugavaree, Villain, Varalaru, Mankatha, Vedalam,and Viswasam. He was last seen in the film Thunivu with Manju Warrier.
