
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will promote the intermediate year and intermediate semester students of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the June 2020 exams. The provision of promoting the UG and PG students without the exams will only be applicable for those students who have registered and re-registered for the academic session 2019-20 in programmes including BCOM (G), BSC (G), BSW, MCOM, MEG and MBA.
However, IGNOU, in a statement, says that students of UG and PG programmes enrolled in programmes offered through agreements and collaborations with external agencies or approved from regulatory bodies or professional in nature will not be promoted without taking the June TEE exams.
The students of UG and PG Programmes, who do not want to be promoted can also appear for Term-end Examinations in February 2021 and thereafter, subject to fulfilling other eligibility conditions, an IGNOU statement read. IGNOU will make provision in the online submission of the term-end examination forms for those students.
The University may revise the guidelines on exemption of June TEE 2020 from time to time depending upon the prevailing circumstances due to COVID-19 pandemic.
IGNOU June TEE Exemption For UG Students
The first year students registered in July 2019 are exempted from appearing in TEE of first year in June 2020. The term-end marks and grades will be assigned on the basis of the marks and grades obtained in TEE of second year courses.
The second year students re-registered in July 2019 admission cycle will be exempted from appearing in TEE of second year in June 2020. The term-end marks or grades in the second year courses will be assigned on the basis of the marks and grades obtained in TEE of first year courses.
Students of CBCS UG Programmes registered in July 2019 may be exempted from appearing in the Term-end Examinations of first year (first and second semesters) in June 2020. The term-end marks or grades in the first year (first and second Semesters) courses will be assigned on the basis of marks or grades obtained in TEE of second Year (third and fourth semesters) courses.
For BCA, students of intermediate semesters re-registered in January 2020 may be exempted from appearing in TEE of their respective intermediate semesters in June 2020. The marks, grades in TEE of respective intermediate semesters will be assigned on the basis of marks, grades obtained in TEE of previous or subsequent (as the case may be) semesters.
IGNOU June TEE Exemption For PG Students
The students of first year registered in July 2019 may be exempted from appearing in the TEE of the first year in June 2020. The term-end marks or grades in the first year courses will be assigned on the basis of marks or grades obtained in the TEE of second year courses.
For MCA, students of intermediate semesters re-registered in January 2020 may be exempted from appearing in TEE of their respective intermediate semesters in June 2020. The marks or grades in TEE of respective intermediate semesters will be assigned on the basis of marks or grades obtained in the TEE of previous or subsequent semesters.
For MBA and MBA (B and F), students of intermediate semesters re-registered in January 2020 may be exempted from appearing in TEE of their respective semesters in June 2020. The marks and grades in TEE of respective intermediate semesters will be assigned on the basis of marks and grades scored in TEE of previous or subsequent semesters.
