ISB, IIMA And IIMB Among The Top 50 In FT Global MBA Ranking 2017

New Delhi: Here is a good news for the B School aspirants in the country: Indian School of Business (ISB), Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and Indian Institute of Management (IIMB) have been ranked among the top 50 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2017 released on Monday. Management schools in the top 50 include INSEAD (France and Singapore), Stanford Graduate School of Business, Wharton Business School, Harvard Business School, University Cambridge Judge Business School and London Business School. ISB is the highest ranked B school from India which has been ranked in the 27 th position which jumped two slots than last year's while IIMB is placed in the 29 th position jumping five slots than last year's. This ranking features the world's best 100 full-time MBA programmes.

IIMB s rank shot up 13 spots to be placed at No 49 in the FT ranking. Indian Institute of Management Kolkata is also find its place in the ranking, listed in the 95 th position.

"It's particularly pleasing to note that ISB is the highest ranked business school from India," said a statement from ISB. A quick glance at the numbers reveal that, said the  release that, 'we continue to rank quite high in alumni recommendations and are among the top three schools globally, in terms of percentage salary increase - in fact, we are ranked at the top on this dimension, amongst the top 30 schools.'

 "The credit goes to all faculty colleagues who, as part of the EPGP and Admissions Interview committees, recruit a high-calibre cohort for the programme and as professors put them through a demanding learning experience in their course offerings," said Professor R. Srinivasan, Director Incharge, IIMB in a statement posted in the institute's website.

The ranking is based on surveys of the business schools and their alumni. Programmes are assessed according to the career progression of alumni, the school's idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty.
