CBSE Board Result 2026 Date LIVE (OUT Soon): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has completed all preparations and is expected to announce the Class 10 board results 2026 soon, possibly at short notice, NDTV sources reported. The Class 10 results are likely to be released earlier this year due to the second phase of board exams scheduled for May 2026. Around 43 lakh students, including nearly 25 lakh Class 10 candidates, are awaiting their results.
When Will CBSE Release Class 10 and 12 Results?
While the board has not made any official announcement, Class 10 results are likely to be declared anytime soon, possibly today or tomorrow. Speaking to NDTV, board officials said that all preparations have been completed and the results may be announced at any time on short notice. However, the board has not confirmed the exact date and time. Indications of an imminent announcement have also emerged from DigiLocker and UMANG application, which has advised students not to wait for the result day and to set up their accounts in advance, suggesting that the results are likely to be declared soon.
Class 12 results are expected in the second week of May 2026. Last year, both Class 10 and Class 12 results were announced on May 13. However, due to the second session of Class 10 board exams scheduled to begin on May 15, Class 10 results are expected before the Class 12 results.
Evaluation Process
Examiners assess 20 answer sheets per day for major subjects and 25 for other subjects, working an eight-hour shift. With On-Screen Marking in place, the evaluation process is expected to be completed within nine days, compared to 12 days earlier for Class 12.
CBSE has introduced a second board examination system this year, allowing students to improve their scores in up to three subjects.
Grace Marks Policy
Students falling short by one or two marks in Class 10 may be awarded grace marks. To pass the examination, candidates must secure a minimum of 33 per cent overall.

The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams commenced on February 17, 2026. The Class 10 exams concluded on March 11, while Class 12 exams ended on April 10, 2026.
