New Delhi:
Delhi saw a bright and sunny Tuesday with maximum temperature recorded two notches above average at 22.2 degrees. But Met office says the city may experience rain on Wednesday.
"Wednesday may see rain. The sky might become cloudy leading to rain towards the evening," said an official of India Meteorological Department.
However, mercury is not likely to dip drastically Wednesday with maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 21 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperature on Tuesday settled at 6.6 degrees - a notch below average.
Earlier, the capital witnessed shallow fog in the early hours with visibility at 8.30 am being 500 meters due to which nearly 20 trains were delayed and 11 got cancelled.
According to Delhi International Airport Limited, 25 flights were delayed because of fog.
