French national goes missing in Delhi

New Delhi: A 39 year old French national went missing in mysterious circumstances near a hotel here in Delhi, police said on Monday.

A resident of Saint Pierre in France, Pascal Julien Lagarrigue, who is the leader of 35-member French group touring India, has been missing since January 16 from outside an east Delhi hotel.

A group member, Marie Marthe Nathalie Selley, informed the French embassy when they could not trace Lagarrigue, and filed a missing person complaint on January 17 at Anand Vihar police station with the help of Atul Srivastav, an attache in the French embassy.

According to the complaint, Pascal's group arrived in Delhi on January 14 and was staying in Hotel Park Plaza.

In the morning of January 16, Pascal went outside the hotel but did not return, said a police officer citing the complaint.

"We have registered a case and are trying to trace him," said the officer.
