Delhi student arrested for killing ganja supplier

Delhi: Two youths, including a class XII student, were arrested today for allegedly murdering a wholesale supplier of ganja in Bihar to take revenge of helping investigators apprehend their relative in a drug peddling case, police said.

Shyam Kishore and Gulshan Kumar, both alleged ganja suppliers, were apprehended from Shalimar Bagh on a tip off. They had allegedly murdered Vikas Sahu (30) in Samastipur on January seven.

"They were taking revenge because Sahu had got arrested Kishore's elder brother Radhey Shyam with six kg ganja. Kumar is the nephew of Radhe Shyam," Meenu Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West), said.

Kishore came to Delhi for treatment of his brother Radhey Shyam who was a handicap and was working for Sahu.

Kumar, a student of class XII, came to Delhi in search of job and started living with his uncle. After the arrest of Radhey Shayam, Kumar started supplying ganja to earn livelihood.

"Radhey Shyam was earlier working in a factory in Noida and after an accident, he was handicapped. Sahu bore the expenses of treatment on the condition that Kishore would supply ganja in Delhi and Noida to retailers.

"Radhey Shyam also started working for Vikas. Once Radhey Shyam was arrested with ganja in Ghaziabad. At that time, Sahu extended financial help for arranging the bail," Choudhury said.

About 18 months ago, Kishore was detained by a wholesale ganja dealer as Sahu did not settle a business of Rs 90,000. Despite repeated calls, Sahu did not help Kishore who later arranged part payment through his friend Aitbari Singh and got himself released.

On return, Kishore asked Sahu to clear the dues but he refused to do so and instead allegedly got Radhey Shyam trapped with ganja.
