Two arrested for selling 'cheaper' computer tablets

Indore: Two men were today arrested and an unknown amount of cash was seized from them for allegedly cheating people in the name of offering them computer tablets at cheaper rates, police said.

Amit Muraraka and Anuj Murarka were caught when they were fleeing with the cash they had collected from as many as 70 students on the promise of offering them the device at cheaper rates at a show being held at Anand Mohan Hall, they said.

The duo had allegedly released an advertisement offering computer tablets for Rs 2000 a piece at their 'show'.

However, they tried to give a slip when the show was in progress, following which the people gathered there, beat them up, and then handed them over to police.

The police suspects the involvement of a gang behind the crime and have booked the duo on charges of fraud.
