Aizawl:
Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department's Anti Narcotics Squad seized 37.5 grams of heroin in Aizawl, Peter Zohmingthanga, public relations officer of the department said today.
Zohmingthanga said that two women, both Myanmarese nationals were arrested in this connection during the raid last night.
The arrested persons - Zachhingpuii (25) and Hmingthanmawii (35), both from Tahan in Myanmar said that they smuggled the contraband from Tahan to be sold in Aizawl, he said.
The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he added.
