Cash worth one crore looted from builder's house

New Delhi: Unidentified persons burgled the house of a builder in south Delhi and decamped with Rs one crore in cash with investigators today suspecting the involvement of his missing servant.

The incident occurred at the residence of Sunil Kumar Bedi (40), a builder in Greater Kailash-I last night, a senior police official said.

Bedi, his wife and three children had gone to a relative's house when the incident took place.

The suspicion is on Ram Kishore, the 25-year-old servant hailing from Madhya Pradesh, who is now missing from the house.

Police verification of the servant who was working for the past five years was not done.

The family's two other servants had informed Bedi about the almirah being broke open and informed police.

"Bedi could not find Kishore when he returned home. He thought that he might have gone out. But when he went to his room, he found the almirah broke open and the bag containing Rs one crore missing," the official said quoting Bedi's complaint.

The servants also told police that they found a nervous Kishore going out with a black bag.
