The Punch facelift sports refreshed front and rear styling, with design cues reminiscent of the Punch EV. Highlights include sharp LED DRLs mounted on top, polygonal headlamp housings, and a bold slatted air dam. Tata is also expected to introduce new colour options with this update.

The Punch facelift retains its familiar side profile but introduces newly styled alloy wheels. At the rear, it sports interconnected tail lamps for a more contemporary look, a flatter boot lid, and subtle tweaks to the bumper design.

Inside, the new Tata Punch mirrors the cabin design of larger siblings like the Nexon and Altroz. Major upgrades include a fresh digital instrument cluster and a revised 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, expected on higher trims. A new two-spoke steering wheel and touch-based climate control panel, already seen on other Tata models, add to the modern feel. The facelift also introduces updated trim and upholstery choices, enhancing overall appeal. On the equipment side, a 360-degree camera is anticipated, with the complete feature list set to be revealed closer to launch.

In a rare move for a facelift, the updated Tata Punch will introduce a new engine option. Borrowed from the Nexon, the 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol is set to join the lineup, though its exact specifications and gearbox choices remain under wraps. The current 88hp naturally aspirated petrol with 5-speed MT and AMT gearboxes, along with the 73hp petrol+CNG variant paired with a 5-speed manual, are expected to continue unchanged.

The Tata Punch facelift is expected to bring several equipment upgrades. Teasers have already revealed the driver's seat with under-thigh support, a feature reminiscent of the new Sierra. Expected additions include a larger touchscreen, a touch-based control panel, and fully automatic climate control. The refreshed Punch is likely to launch at a starting price of around Rs 6- Rs 6.5 lakh on January 13, continuing its rivalry with the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3.
