- Tata Nexon was India's top-selling SUV in FY2026 with 216,054 units sold
- Hyundai Creta secured second place with 2,01,921 units in the midsize SUV segment
- Tata Punch ranked third with 1,83,980 units, down from FY2025's top spot
The Tata Nexon has finished FY2026 as India's highest-selling SUV, reclaiming the crown with total wholesales of 2,16,054 units. Resultanty, registering a 32 per cent year-on-year increase and once again underlining its popularity in the market. Following it hot on the heels was the Hyundai Creta, which registered sales of 2,01,921 units, continuing its strong hold in the midsize-SUV segment. The Tata Punch, which led the chart in FY2025, moved to third position with 1,83,980 units, while the Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured fourth spot at 1,80,104 units.

Rounding out the top five was the Mahindra Scorpio range, including the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N, with 1,78,800 units. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx followed in sixth position after recording 1,72,363 units during the financial year. One of the biggest gainers was the Mahindra Thar lineup, including the Roxx, which climbed to seventh with 1,26,261 units, supported by the five-door version's wider appeal.

Mahindra Thar
The Hyundai Venue stood eighth at 1,17,737 units, followed by the Kia Sonet at 1,14,142 units. Completing the top 10 was the Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo range, which together registered 1,10,136 units, reflecting continued strength in rural and semi-urban markets.
