Modifications using conversion kits have become a common practice in India. These kits are used to transform a particular model into something that might be completely different. Taking things to the next level, a video is going viral on Instagram showing a Tata Magic Iris that has been completely transformed to look like a Mahindra Bolero. Although the job has not been done using a conversion kit, it uses heavy modifications.

The viral video features a vehicle traveling on a road with passengers inside. Initially, it appears to be a Bolero, but it has a shortened bonnet and a noticeably slimmer body. The lines, panels, and overall design of the body are very similar to the original Bolero. While it is longer than the Iris, it is not as lengthy as a full-sized Bolero. The video provides front three-quarter, side, and rear three-quarter perspectives of the vehicle.

The wheelbase seems to be similar to that of an Omni or an Eeco. For reference, the original Iris has a wheelbase of just 1650 mm, while the Eeco's wheelbase measures approximately 2350 mm. The garage that constructed this vehicle appears to have significantly extended the chassis.

The headlamp and front grille design closely resemble those of the original Bolero, and the design of the front bumper is also quite similar. However, you'll notice that the width at the front is less than that of the actual Bolero.

From the rear view, we can see a straight design for the D-pillar, a tailgate that opens from the side, and a rectangular taillight cluster. The spare wheel is mounted on the tailgate, and there's a footrest located on the rear bumper. The vehicle seems to be on its original wheels as well. Overall, it appears to be a heavily modified version of the actual Bolero body shell.

The engine and transmission in this vehicle are likely similar to those found in the actual Iris. The Iris is equipped with a 611cc, single-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine that produces about 10.8 hp and is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
