Nissan India has confirmed that the Gravite MPV will make its debut in the Indian market on February 17. Earlier, the upcoming model of the brand was supposed to make its market entry on January 21. However, the event was postponed for unknown reasons. The same happened with the new mid-size SUV of the brand, Tekton, which was supposed to be unveiled today.

The Japanese automaker plans to broaden its product lineup with the introduction of Gravite. The subsequent models from the brand will be launched shortly after, with just a few months separating their releases. After Gravite, the Tekton will follow, and a seven-seater SUV is expected to debut in 2027. It is important to mention that until now, Nissan has only been represented in one segment by the Magnite.

While the complete design has yet to be revealed, the brand has given a glimpse of Gravite's design. It displays a new look that reflects the brand's updated design philosophy. The vehicle highlights a distinctive front fascia with a new grille featuring the Nissan logo, accentuated by chrome detailing. The design also includes a fresh headlamp arrangement, while a feature resembling a hood scoop on the bonnet adds to a robust appearance.

Details about the interior remain undisclosed. However, there is a chance that the MPV will incorporate entirely new interior components using various materials for the dashboard. It may also share certain characteristics with the Tiber. Furthermore, the MPV is expected to offer a three-row seating layout, allowing flexible configurations of 5, 6, or 7 seats.

The expected feature list will likely consist of a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging unit, cool storage located in the center console, and second-row seats that can slide and recline.

The upcoming Nissan Gravite MPV is expected to be equipped with a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 72 hp and 96 Nm, available with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission, similar to the Triber. Although Nissan might enhance the engine and transmission for better drivability, the core mechanical structure will remain consistent.
