
The Mitsubishi Pajero was introduced in the Indian market around 2002 in a joint venture with Hindustan Motors, which was assembling it. Later, the joint venture also introduced the Pajero Sport in the national market in 2012. Despite its fame among petrolheads and car lovers, Mitsubishi discontinued the Pajero around 2020 in the Indian market due to an increase in the competition and strict emission norms. Also, the Mitsubishi Pajero was discontinued from the international market in 2021.

Now, the brand is gearing up to roll out the next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero soon. The test mule of the SUV has been snapped in Europe. While the heavy camouflage test vehicle keeps the exterior highlights under wraps, there are a few design details one can expect from the next-gen model.

Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero: Exterior Expected
The Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero retains its boxy stance from its preceding models. However, the spy shots claim that the updated model will get a few design tweaks with an upright nose, refreshed bumper design, clamshell-style bonnet, a larger grille, sleek LED headlamps, and vertically placed DRLs.
The spy shots also insist that the Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero gets newly designed alloy wheels, probably measuring 19 to 20 inches. Further, the increased gap between the wheels and body suggests that it has long-travel suspension units.

The interior highlights of the Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero are still under wraps. However, it is expected to get a larger infotainment and driver display unit, refreshed upholstery, ventilated front seats, and more. Also, the brand is expected to equip the Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero with updated ADAS features.

The Next-Gen Mitsubishi Pajero is liley to retain the engine options offered in the preceding models, including a 2.5L DI-diesel engine, 2.4L turbocharged, and more. However, reports also claim that the updated model will also get a hybrid powertrain, as seen on the Mitsubishi Outlander.
