Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new Mercedes-Benz GLE Night Edition and Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition in the country as part of a global limited-run series. The new Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS Night Editions bring a more aggressive blacked-out design, exclusive interior upgrades and added premium features to the brand's best-selling luxury SUVs in India.
Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS Night Editions: Exterior Highlight
The Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS Night Editions are available in two colour options - Obsidian Black and the new Alpine Grey shade. The Alpine Grey paint is exclusive to the Night Edition range and will not be offered on the standard Mercedes-Benz GLE or Mercedes-Benz GLS models.
Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS Night Editions: Interior
Inside the cabin, both the Mercedes-Benz GLE Night Edition and Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition get black Nappa leather upholstery along with Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim. These interior elements are exclusive to the Night Edition versions and are not available on regular trims. Mercedes-Benz is also offering a Head-Up Display as standard across the complete Night Edition lineup.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE Night Edition gets an additional highlight in the form of AIRMATIC suspension, which improves ride comfort and gives the SUV a more premium driving experience. Mercedes-Benz says the GLE has built a loyal customer base in India over the years, while the GLS remains its highest-selling luxury SUV in the top-end segment.
Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS Night Editions: Engine & Performance
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d Night Edition uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 198 kW and 550 Nm torque. It can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kmph.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 Night Edition gets a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine producing 280 kW and 500 Nm. It does the 0-100 kmph run in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 kmph.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 Night Edition also uses the same 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine with 280 kW and 500 Nm, while the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450d Night Edition gets a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel motor producing 270 kW and a massive 750 Nm torque output. Both GLS variants can hit 100 kmph from standstill in 6.1 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS Night Editions: Price
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d Night Edition has been priced at Rs 1.05 crore (ex-showroom), while the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 Night Edition costs Rs 1.14 crore (ex-showroom).
On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 Night Edition is priced at Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom), whereas the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450d Night Edition costs Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom).
