Maruti Suzuki India Limited capped off 2025 on a high note, reporting total sales of 217,854 units in December, including a record domestic high of 182,165 units. This performance propelled the company to its highest-ever annual sales of 2,351,139 units for the calendar year, with exports surging to 395,648 units, a 21 percent growth over 2024.
Domestic sales, which include passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles like Super Carry, and OEM supplies, rose sharply to 192,115 units (including OEM), up from 140,829 units in December 2024. Passenger cars (mini, compact, mid-size) contributed 92,929 units, while utility vehicles such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, and others logged 73,818 units. Vans like Eeco added 11,899 units, reflecting strong urban and family demand.

Exports stood at 25,739 units for the month, contributing to the calendar year's landmark achievement that cements Maruti Suzuki as India's leading passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth straight year. The company shipped vehicles across 18 models to over 100 countries, with a major highlight being the launch of exports for its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e-Vitara. Over 13,000 e-Vitara units have been dispatched to 29 countries, mainly in Europe, following a flag-off by the Prime Minister at the Hansalpur facility in August 2025.
Speaking on the milestone, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "This is a proud moment for the company as we record our highest-ever calendar year exports of 3.95 lakh units. It reflects India's manufacturing strength and trust of customers worldwide. At a time when global trade is passing through a turbulent phase, we regard this 21% growth as a responsible contribution in supporting the nation's export momentum."

Year-to-date April-December FY26 domestic sales reached 1,349,846 units (PV+LCV), up from 1,300,936 the previous year, while exports for the period hit 310,559 units. The claim of top exporter status is backed by SIAM data extrapolated to December 2025.
