Kia India unveiled the second generation of the Seltos earlier for the Indian market. Now, pricing details will be announced on January 2. This updated SUV has undergone numerous changes to compete in a fiercely competitive segment, going head-to-head with rivals such as the Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and others. Here are the highlights that give it a competitive edge.

2026 Kia Seltos: Design

The latest version of the Kia Seltos features a new front design, showcasing the brand's global design language. It includes a tiger nose grille, complemented by vertical lighting elements and a more upright stance. Additionally, the SUV boasts new 18-inch alloy wheels and an updated tailgate design with newly connected taillights. Both the front and rear have received new bumpers, as well as gunmetal-finished skid plates.

The vehicle is designed with sleek body panels and door handles that align flush with the body. It also features a flatter roofline, a panoramic sunroof, an integrated rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. The shoulder line and window lines have been slightly modified for a fresh look. All these changes come with a choice of 10 body colors, including two new shades: Morning Haze and Magma Red.

2026 Kia Seltos: Dimensions

Built on the K3 platform, the new generation Seltos has been lengthened, making it the longest in its segment at 4,460 mm. It has an increased width of 1,830 mm and a height of 1,635 mm. Furthermore, the wheelbase has been extended by 80 mm, now measuring 2,690 mm.

The interior of the second-generation Kia Seltos has been updated with a redesigned dashboard layout featuring new dual-tone accents and leatherette upholstery, enhancing its modern appeal. The SUV includes a flat-bottom steering wheel that showcases an offset brand logo and a new 30-inch integrated dual-screen setup with a single curved display. Physical controls for various functions and rotary controls for selected features are also included.

2026 Kia Seltos: Features

This iteration of the Seltos is packed with features, including dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a heads-up display (HUD), powered driver seats, memory function for the ORVM, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting, rear reclining seats, and smart proximity key unlock, among others.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), hill-start assist, disc brakes on all wheels, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, remote control with over-the-air (OTA) updates, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and navigation-based smart cruise control. It also offers various traction control modes, including Snow, Mud, and Sand.

2026 Kia Seltos: Powertrain

The new Kia Seltos offers options for two petrol engines and one diesel engine. It continues to feature a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 160 hp and 253 Nm, along with a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include manual transmission (MT), intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT), dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and automatic transmission (AT).

2026 Kia Seltos: Expected Price

Kia Seltos is expected to have competitive pricing in the Indian market. It is expected to have a price tag of between Rs 11-12 lakh. With this pricing, it will have a stronghold against models like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Victoris.
