Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of the XUV 7XO in the Indian market. As part of the process, the Indian automaker has been consistently teasing the upcoming SUV. In its latest teaser, the automaker has given the audience a closer look at the vehicle's interior, confirming a few new features. Before delving into the details, it is worth noting that pre-bookings for the SUV are already underway, with the launch scheduled for January 5, 2026.

Starting with the details of the latest teaser, the Mahindra XUV 7XO will come with a triple-screen layout. This seems to be a new trend among automakers, as the feature is now being introduced among multiple models in the segment. It is also available on the XEV 9e and the XEV 9S sold by the automaker. Earlier, it was available on relatively more expensive models, sold in the luxury vehicle segment.

Apart from that, the teaser also confirms the presence of features like Electric Boss Mode, enhancing convenience for the occupants in the rear seat. To go with this, the SUV will also get rear window sun blinds, a new design for the steering wheel, ambient lighting, and more. The new steering will likely be a twin-spoke unit with an illuminated twin peaks logo in the middle.

Complementing the aforementioned features will be a new interior theme. The SUV is going to get new interior shades, which seem to have a combination of beige and maroon. This is a major change considering the interior colours which were available on the XUV700. However, it seems like the automaker continues to have its focus on offering a premium experience.

The teaser reveals specific fixtures for attaching tablets or devices for passengers in the back, providing flexibility without the need for fixed rear displays. This arrangement enables users to customize their entertainment experience while maintaining a clean and adaptable cabin layout.

In terms of mechanics, the XUV7XO is expected to keep the same engine options as the XUV700. These options include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, both of which are paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. There is also an option of an AWD setup with the diesel engine in the XUV700, which will likely be carried forward.

With the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the brand is looking forward to building on the success of the XUV700. Once launched, the SUV will compete against rivals like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and others.
